Stratagem Residences is a gated community that embraces nature, maximizes views, and incorporates design elements that promote environmental consciousness while providing a comfortable and contemporary living experience for its residents.
Welcome to Strategem Residences, a thoughtfully designed gated community in Arusha, offering an array of 2, 3, and 4 bedroom homes. Each house within this community has been carefully positioned at the end of its plot, allowing for maximum garden area in front of the residence. The emphasis on natural vegetation and trees creates a lush and vibrant landscape, resembling a small forest, offering both privacy and a harmonious connection with nature.
To address potential flooding issues in the area, the buildings are slightly raised, with all plinths elevated by 60cm off the ground. This design choice ensures the homes remain safe and dry, providing peace of mind for residents. Additionally, the use of timber cladding on the exteriors enhances the visual appeal of the houses while promoting sustainability and the use of natural materials.
The heart of each house is the public area, which includes the kitchen, living room, and dining space. Here, a remarkable 12-meter wide window stretches from floor to ceiling, consisting of only four window panes, providing an expansive and panoramic view of the surroundings. This architectural feature not only floods the interior with natural light but also blurs the line between indoor and outdoor living. The large window seamlessly opens up to a verandah of the same size, creating a seamless inside-outside space, perfect for relaxation and enjoying the beauty of the surroundings.
To protect the cladding from rain and moisture, the houses feature 1-meter roof overhangs. These overhangs effectively shield the cladding, preventing water damage and extending the lifespan of the exterior finishes. Furthermore, the roofs are designed with single slopes, eliminating the need for cutting roofing sheets and minimizing wastage and additional costs. The use of a single piece of roofing sheet also ensures a watertight seal, preventing any leakage during heavy rainfall.
